Looking for any information on a D21 that I purchased on auction probably about 20 years ago. I had the owners names at the time but information was lost in our business fire in 2007.  The tractor sat in the shed in pieces since then  but am currently restoring it. It is a series 1 without a turbo.  Was a bareback with PTO only.  Has 38 inch tires . Came from a farm in Northern Illinois but I cannot remember where. Looked like a dairy or cattle farm. Guy also had New Idea harvesting equipment I remember. When I bought it the engine was on a pallet in pieces.  It had thrown a rod and had a big hole in block behind the hydraulic pump.  I know this is a long shot but I am trying to find the family that  owned the tractor back then.  I had told them I would send them pictures when I rebuilt it. Possible someone out there would remember this farm or the family that had this tractor. SN is 1231

1232D is in the Owners List back in 2019, but not 1231.

You don't have a clue as to what County?? or near what small town ??  If you were within 10 miles of where it came from a local implement dealer or some other farm related business might well remember, "Oh yeah. I remember so and so had a D-21".   D-21's got noticed and remembered.

I just do not remember a town but I am in Hamel Il. and I remeber driving about 2 or three hours away from home.  I remember the day of the auction was on a weekend and I had to get back home for the company Christmas party that Saturday evening which I did.  So it is two hours from home to Bloomington  so it could have been anywhere around there or even more North or East yet.  I remember the farm.  Looked like weeds had grown up around everything for quite some time.   Was also not out in the middle of large farm area but more rougher ground.  Like you said, D 21 were known and I am sure there was a story behind this one being blown up.  Also I there would not be many bare backs around.  So it's a long shot but you just never know.  Thanks guys for you response
