I am having trouble finding replacements. Dealer says no longer available. Housing bore size for swing link is 1 7/16 (1 1/4 pin size). Housing bore for swing guide is 1 11/16 in (1 1/2 pin size). I can find several options for 1 1/2 in and 1 3/4 in housing sizes, but I would like to avoid machining my parts if possible. Grainger shows cast bronze available, but I am not sure if it will last and have the necessary press fit if the OD of the bushings equals the housing bore. The split bushings I removed were very hard. Original part numbers were 2018402 for the guides (one is available on EBay) and 2018394 for the links. Bushings and pins were so bad one of the swing guides was gouging the main frame.

I would sure appreciate any suggestions on how to bring this old machine back to life--I am starting at the rear and moving forward. I plan on using hydraulic cylinder rod for new pins (given to me as salvage by local shops) but I have not found the answer for bushings. Is the cylinder rod a good idea? Again, I appreciate any direction you may offer. Thanks in advance.

McMaster Carr I believe has bushings , I forget now who I bought bushings from , were longer than stock ones so had to cut them off .
Brass , bronze oil lite sentried bushing will also work but they are softer but if not being used daily will last , I replaced my IH loader lower bucket bushings years back with bronze and it's lasted 20 or more years - and being its oil impregnated - no grease needed there

I can find the correct size bushings at Grainger, but they are made of C93200/SAE 660 bronze. I do not anticipate this machine will see more than 50 hours use per year. Will these bronze bushings last, using chromed hydraulic cylinder rod for pins?

I just was looking at Surplus Center catalog and see they have steel bushings listed in many sizes . You can look online at what they have ,
They show split bushings , hardened material that has some flexibility on sizing on how they fit

Coke and orangeman--thank you. I cannot find any of the Vogelsang type tension bushings to fit a 1-7/16 or 1-11/16 bore. I did find the original type for the 1-11/16 bore at MinnParr and will probably go that route although they are pricey. I am considering attempting to bore the 1-7/16 housings to 1-1/2 in on my drill press (I don't have a mill), maybe supplemented by an adjustable hand reamer. I have never used one and they don't get good internet reviews. Another option is to check with a local machine shop. For those holes I cannot bore I may just go with the bronze bushings and see how long they last. Again, I welcome any suggestions or criticism on this approach. Surplus Center is the best choice I have seen for the tension bushings, because I do not have to buy them by the "lot" and their prices seem quite reasonable. Finally another source for some bearings I have found is Factory Supply Outlet. I ordered two spherical bushings/bearings (SKF 365438) for the power steering cylinder for about half of what one of the large bearing houses was charging. Those bushings seem to be used in a lot of the later Allis tractors. Thanks again.
