OK...1953 Allis Chalmers HD9G crawler loader. Our father bought this loader new to use in there logging operation..It was one of the first ones to reach California. I think the story was the AC reps and sales people showed up and took this picture and others...later they provided this picture...it's stamped Allis Chalmers MFG on the back. After the first summer in the woods it was brought in and a local company built a canopy for it. The AC factory did not provide any type of canopies at the time. It was used in the operation until 1961....the logging economy in Ca. got pretty sluggish. Our father moved the logging operation to British Columbia, Canada. for a season to work for some friends that had moved up there. This HD9G...HD15A Dozer/winch tractor...HD11B Dozer/winch tractor. It didn't work out very well...only lasted one season. The HD9 and HD15 were sold in BC through a local AC dealer. The HD11 did migrate back home to us.

These are great. You don't see HD9Gs very often, at least not out here in the middle of the country.

I have seen a number of different dozers on HD 5,6,9,and 11's.  But the only loaders have been Tractomotive  brand (I guess I need to go the 100 yards to look at the HD5G and get it right). I don't remember seeing any 9 or 11's loaders in person ether.

So Mel is this a Tractomotive loader as well?Confused Now that I centered the picture to see the whole tractor I am guessing it is.

Ray...Yes Tractomotive made the 4 shovel models. 5/9/15/20...they also made the ripper assemblies and the side booms at the time..I think about 1959 they were finally gobbled up by AC.

Allan...Yes I have more pictures...It's a job trying to get them put up everywhere. This was where we originally started....and pretty much my favorite....but it's really slowed down. So I post on the Facebook Group AlliS CHALMERS CRAWLER TRACTORS....Yes you have to join the group.   I also have a you tube channel I guess  @melford4297......i try to post the links to the different places because some people don't want to join other groups etc
