Put 2 new openers in this weekend. Both doors walked on the way up and down. Oiled everything up on the first one and that took care of that but the second door still walks.

Upon inspection I found a spring that was stretched, a pulley missing some bearings, and a missing roller.

Bought all the parts. Only installed the one wheel but I've got extra. That seemed to help a little bit not completely.

I've noticed other people have grease on the pole that runs from the opener head to the wall. Should I do that?

Lastly tonight my vehicle button doesn't work. Upon inspection I see one safety light is blinking. If I set my hand under the safety eye it will remain steady

prior to using the DOOR OPENER.... the garage door should open and closes SMOOTHLY by hand.. you can raise it slowly and look to see what is dragging or sticking... and the springs should be adjusted so you have minimal effort for the motor to LIFT the door.... i use grease on the rail... also spray the little rollers on the door and the hinges with some type of Penetrant oil..

I'm still struggling with the doors walking. How do you adjust the springs that are along side the tracks?

This Video should help you check your door alignment, and then adjust the spring tension.

springs are COLOR CODED for the weight of the door... SPRINGS should be a MATCHED SET so the pull the SAME on both sides.

If I was there Bob, I'd help you out.  It's very easy.  I would bet there must be a few infos on youtube.
