I am building a vertical lift platform (insurance folks didnt want to hear elevator) to go between floors in my house using a forklift mast and now Im searching for a 120 volt hydraulic pump with remote controls wired or not and approximately 2 gallon or so capacity. I have found many 12 volt DC pumps that would work but rather not have a 12 volt battery and charger in my basement. Some have suggested a transformer but to get enough amps for the pump would not be cost effective. I know there is a lot of knowledge on here and folks who like me think outside the box that may have a suggestion. Thanks in advance

Plenty of small, 120VAC hydraulic pumping units available through Fenner-Stone, Bucher, (formerly Monarch) Hydraulics, and SPX Power team brands.

Amazon..... this is a popular pump that you can buy online from Wal Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc...
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Wouldn't a 110 V. cable hoist be a bit simpler to design and build?

Thanks for the advice folks, yous never let me down, going hydraulic cause in my mind at the time it seemed easier. Time will tell how this project turns out. Had to give up wanting 2 dishwashers in the kitchen next to each other with a magnet designating which one was dirty so a person wouldn't have to unload the dishwasher plus you wouldn't need as many cabinets. Pick your battles I guess. Thanks again
