Have mine almost all the way forward in the fat boy position . No chance it'll ever bottom out . Seat does have a little bounce to it as is . Just wondering if it'd ride better adjusted the other way with a possible bottom out ? Or does it not make any difference ? My shock/spring is fairly newish and seems fine . Any input ? Should say I am kind of a fat boy. Thanks !!

Thanks Donald. Guess a soft ride without bottoming out is the ticket.

I put a new shock and spring our our CA since the old bottomed out in the front position.

With the new unit, I was able to move the seat to the back, and at 228 lbs, still had a bounce and only slightly bottomed out when I hit it hard.

Much more comfortable and I was not crowded into the steering wheel and petals.

Thanks D . I started at the back and moved it up until it just quit bottoming out. I've also drilled 2 new holes in the base so the seat sits back a little more.
