So I think I shucked the hydro pump after seeing this…
Not sure how and why but I’m wondering if it could be because I changed the oil to John Deere low velocity hydro oil.
I also hat that apart to replace the O-rings in the control shaft.
It drove around for 10-15 minutes and than the hydro lever locked up and it wouldn’t move after that.

I think it’s possible to fix if I can find different plungers and the big funny washer in the second picture, also confirm what caused this to happen….

It is trashed. Get a complete different (used) hydro assembly. I doubt that any internal parts are even available. All oil lines and a cooler if equipped will need to be flushed clean. Sure looks like an oil related failure to me, but I'm not there looking at it and don't know how deep you were into it before it ate its pigs.

I'm wit' the Doc on that one! Get yourself another Hydro or parts Tractor to snag the Hydro out of. I would say she's whooped! See what happens when you mix Green with Orange? You get chit'....  Wink

Boy, I guess that makes a difference, funny thing is the drive part is just fine….
I think it’s supposed to have red atf oil type 3 but please don’t be afraid to correct me. I’ve had enough mistakes already.

It looks to me like something came apart and tore it up especially if it was just fine when you just had it apart to replace those orings. How much play is there in the slipper and the piston? It's very possible one of those broke and took out the rest of the hydro. Nice thing is these are self contained units so it's easy to clean them up. Flush the cooler/hoses and resivor and go again. It's very fixable if you can find the parts. Did you have the housing bored and bushings installed on the swash plate shaft when you replaced the orings? This should be done if you haven't already as it will just leak again shortly after as the housing is egg shaped and most likely has a groove worn in it.
