I have a small acerage and am interested in an AC 180 or 185 with cab. Can anyone give me an opinon of value. I realize tires and physical condition can make a price difficult to determine. Either gas or diesel.
I'm located in SW Wisc.

Of course gas will be cheaper than a diesel. Not sure what you’re doing with it but a diesel is probably preferable. A loader will also change the value. I would guess a you could find a decent diesel without a loader for around $6000. Might be able to find one cheaper at an auction. Remember if it needs tires that’s $1200 extra minimum for new ones and even at $6k it’s still going to need some tinkering, these tractors are 40-50 years old!

Thanks for the replies. For our purpose a gasser would be just fine. Travis 2766 - Anything in your area? 180 Gas.

Yes, the 185 is only available in diesel. He’s asking about the 180 and/or the 185. The 180 is available in both gas and diesel.

They seem to really hold their value in my area, that or someone will park them outside and leave them for years and not want to sell them! You’re better off looking in northern Illinois or Iowa, they’re too small for most farms in those areas and they’re willing to part with them. Not much available in central Wisconsin.

Local dealer special ordered a 185 gas from the factory when they were available new. The customer wanted a gas tractor so the dealer ordered it. They were only available special order. Dont remember if it had a 301 or a 265 gas motor like the 180 did.
