The 175 distributor had different weights and springs as the RPM was higher and had a longer advance curve.  70232828 70232829 springs and wts. These were with screw type dist cap mostly - E's and 175's. Both were Delco so will interchange.  240001 is the sn break.     I have seen a lot of swaps...

Due to the nature of theLow RPMs  don't think it will matter - you need to tune it on a dyno and adjust the timing to max hp. Having done this it is amazing how much one can adjust the distributor with no noticable difference.  When the timing is retarded the rpms go down and then come back when advanced to the point of pinging - then back off. You can't determine the start of 'pinging' by ear.  Depending on compression, air flow and other issues timing will probably be different than factory specs for your purpose.
