the freeze plug behind the oil filter base is weeping and I want to replace it. I can't seem to loosen the filter base and remove it. Not much info out there about it but from what i gather its just pressed in the block. Started with a penetrant and a hammer and wood block with no luck. Been giving it some solid hits without the wood too but afraid im going to crack the base but its not budging. Been working on it for a while and trying to let penetrant soak in for a few days with no movement. Any help is appreciated. Thoughts on applying heat? Thanks

I’ve always gotten them loose with a strap wrench, yes they are just pressed in
