Hi! First time poster here, so please if this isn't in the right place let me know and I'll correct that. My husband and I just bought our first antique tractor, an Allis B. The serial number by the shifter is B42 441. I haven't been able to find this number on any of the lists I've found. Am I looking at the wrong number?
Thanks!

Hi Anne
Welcome to the Allis Chalmers Forum.
This is the place to come to ask any questions about your newly acquired Allis Chalmers Model B.
You won't find your Tractors actual serial number, but instead the last Serial Number for each Model year.
If you click on the heading 'Serial Numbers' at the top right of this page you will find the following:
The Serial number of the last Model B built in 1939 is B33501 " " " " " " " " " " 1940 is B49720 So your B42441 was built about mid 1940.
Here is a link to Tractor Data Website that provides lots of Data for the B:
Good luck with your 'B'.
