| If anyone has a 70 series manual. I’d appreciate some help. My planter right now is set up on 30” rows with 24 cell sunflower plates. It has a 18 tooth drive socket and a 10 tooth driven socket. Would anyone happen to know the seed spacing I would have with this setup? |

You could do the math - a 10/14 = 8" spacing. A better method is to measure the OD of your drive tire - Roll it one revoution exactly - and count the seeds and divide into the circumfrence. Kee in mind some sunflower seed plates require a filler plate as sunflower seed are half the depth of a corn kernal. ------------- When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money.. |

. Old school method is drag it down the hard dirt driveway and then measure/count the seed drops. Next best is measure the diameter of the ground wheel you have and then the teeth per gear involved. Ratio everything and there you go. .

Jvin248, you just brought back a memory for me of my dad and grandpa. I can hear my dad telling my grandpa it wouldn’t work. He said he couldn’t pull that planter in that hard ground.
