I know I haven't posted for a long time buy Ole Joe has asked me to go check up on.ole shameless. I hear he hasn't posted in a long time. I should arrive there about 7pm depending on how long this errand before him takes me. I hope it isn't bad news as I'm fairly faint hearted to receive such. I'll post what I find yet tonight. Otherwise it's good to be back and yes I still have the Ole leaking WD. LES

Well I stopped there and right away I see people in the house. I grab my keys as the dang dog likes to lock me outa my truck an I didn't want to be stranded at Ole shamelessly place. It's hard enough to get outa here as it is with all these piles of iron laying abouts an I walk up to the door and before I could knock I'm greeted by omeone I'm not sure who it is. For the first time in my life I'm at a lost Fer words. Can I help ya? He asks. Yeah ah I'm les Royer and I stopped by to see how my friend Kurt is doing, you see um me and the guys are friends of his on the allus Chalmers website and we are a little worried about him so I'm here to see if he's OK an um.......Oh Kurt, he says, I haven't seen him in a while. But you got the wrong house. He lives next door Les. That's nice you coming over to check on him. Well it's been a while since I been over here. I guess that mighty nice lookin Ferd pickup sitting there should have been my first clue I was at the wrong place. He reaches out and shakes my hand and I left.

Or did he get abducted by all them illegal ailians thet we hear so much about an now they took up residence there?
You know the other parts an parcels of Shamerz farm got sold awhile ago to satisfy them blood sucker stockholders and Shamerz got to keep his old place an some acreage.

Well, JC,,,Ole Shameless goes by several aliases namely Kurt, Dale and most likely a few others,,,Ms, Dee calls him "Dale" so I did as well, when I was there,
I  just wish ole Les had checked out the house next door as SO many of Shameless,s friends are SO worried bout him,,, i KNOW I am,,,,!!

Wasn't a former resident of Blair gonna try to go visit to look for him?
If so,,,I can supply an  address north of Blair, NE,,,,,Clap

I guess I might just as well get hollered at by him,,,,,,,,,, it's Curt, not Kurt.
Dang Les, I guess we shoulda tole you bout his new place of business,,,,,,,,,er new abode......He puts a new kitchen area on and you prolly didn't recognize it.
DJ, all I have is a PO Box for him.  I'll have to call you an gits his addy.

Les, are you going back over again?  You could ask the local Gendarme which house is his, or if they know anything about our good buddy.
You can always go back over later and find that infernal machine of his....all you have to do is look for some stolen,,,,,,,er uh,,,,,,,on loan hoses leading to it.

I haven’t heard that term since high school. We had 20 different words every week but the same words every year for 4 years, 2points for spelling it correctly and 3 pts for the definition. Oh, and the teacher said they all came from Readers Digest.

It's too bad you feel that way about one of the longest term members of this forum who is also one of the most liked and respected members, I have no idea just how long he has been a member but surely one of the longest term guys for sure. I went to go meet him and visit him and his "Loving Wife" last year and he was already fighting several issues with his legs back then, SO, he has been fighting these issues for the longest.
I talked to him on the phone about 3 weeks ago and he had been in and out of hospitals fighting his blood circulation issues and his legs.
I,,for one will continue to have faith in Ole Shameless and continue to PRAY for his recovery and hope all his friends here do as well..... THANKS EVERYONE,,,,!!!!!

DJ, I'm with you on this.  Randy doesn't know Dale like we do.  If you've ever met him, you'll know that he doesn't want to be alone.  He's a hell of a guy and a great friend.

If he were able to get on here, he would.

I too fear something is desperately wrong and I'm sending more prayers.

That is bad news, but expected I guess.  Yep, a BIG hole on the forum now.
I heard from Cody who heard from Drawin.  Another great person on this forum and will be missed by all.
I've been trying to find his pic that I took of him at Hutch the year he went.  I've got quite a few external hard drives and I'll have to search.  Anybody know what year it was when he was there?  It'll make my search a little easier.  It was an honor to have met the man.

RIP good buddy!  Prayers are going out to Deanna at this heartbreaking time.

I'll post his pic as soon as I find it.  He would like that.  I threatened him with exposure many a time......you don't want to know what he said in reprisal.

With the issues he was having about that time, I wonder if that's why the Lord kept him around 1 more year. Just 1 more time. I wondered why he would take on such chores with his issues. Maybe he knew. RIP Shameless

Going to miss the ole chap for sure. I have been on the forum for close to 30 years, he had to have been close to that too. I think that Hutchinson is where I first met him. Had quite a few conversations on the phone with him. Spent some time with him, wife, and house full of the most well behaved dogs at his house one weekend. Going to miss all the BS he'd spread, the snow machine talk, passionate pink stuff (probably not too many remember that). So said that he finally got to live his dream to farm, and only got to do it for one season.
Dammit, dammit, dammit 🤬😭😭😭

As I look outside right now, getting absolutely dumped on with snow, I think that Shameless has the ultimate snow machine available to him now. When wife and I visited him somewhere around six to eight years ago, he had some chile brewing in the crock pot. He thought we should stick around for some, but we declined. It was still mid morning, full from breakfast yet, and had some miles to cover. By the time we got home, we were in a full on blizzard, and probably got 12-15 inches of snow out of the deal. Ole Shameless had to tell me, "see what you get for turning down my chile!" I vowed to never turn down food at his place again, unfortunately the opportunity never came up. But as I see this snow coming down now, I think that maybe Shameless is reminding me once again, that I should have eaten with him that day. 😪

yeah, but it was a great big mitzvah he got to get his home farm back and farm it one last season. He was really doing poorly last year and he somehow dragged his broken body through one last growing season. I don't think it was two weeks after he finished corn that he was back in the hospital. I hope almost all of us get that gift. RIP

Not ever actually getting to meet him in person, he was a friend.
Teased him some and he in return teased us all...  like the time of the Shameless triplets...

Kinda thought it did not help what those stockholders did to him been better if they had just left him live as he had always done.
Have missed and will miss his postings... But Mz Dee will feel the loss the most.
Lord I pray that you send the Comforter to DeeAnn and give her peace and laughter and good memories that Dale had created between them for the years to come. amen

One less of the family here.   Cry

Fellas he wouldn't want sadness and tears. He would want sharp sticks poking fun. As much as he hated his picture taken who wants to bet his obituary picture will be his back?

Prayers to his “loving wife “

Like many others I never met him.  He & I come from the same area.  He used to commute through my hometown on his way to & from when he was still doing his law enforcement gig before he retired.  We exchanged private messages & shared some words about local landmarks.  I'm sure that battle with family certainly help his health for the past couple of years, maybe longer than that.  I pray that his "loving wife" has a love & support network to help her through this.  He is at peace now.

RIP my friend I never got to meet up with.

So many stories', bits of advice, or a reprimand, never held back. You knew his option. Just will not be the same here without him.

I started another thread titled: "Our Buddy Shameless".  Go there to look at pics of him and leave remarks there now.  We'll make that a testimonial to him and I'll try to figure out a way to get it to Deanna.
Thanks guys........OH, no tears...they're NOT good for your keyboard.

My thoughts on Dale, er Shamless,
I'm pretty sure it was 2016 when he attended Hutch when he and I met, he was setting in a golf cart that he claimed he "borrowed", I don't know if that was true or not.  Anyway Pat the Plumber and several other forum regulars were hanging around. I got a couple pictures taken then and a couple more the next time I saw him a couple years later, while returning from Hutch.  He gave me a tour of the place with stories of how he came to own the treasures.  We talked several times on the phone over the years, the last time in January, when I asked, he said he wasn't doing very well but still had hopes of getting better and said he would get online to thank everyone for the cards he received.  Some of the stuff he told me may have been on the forum or from phone calls so it may be old history.  As you knew, he really did not like his two brothers, the "Stockholders".  One time he asked me to go over to the one brothers place that is about 4 miles from me here in Colorado and spray a 4 letter word and YOU on his lawn with Roundup.  I'm pretty much sure he was serious as he offered to pay for the Roundup!
As most of you know, his brothers outvoted him, first to take away the operation of the family farm and then to sell it.  They claimed they took the farm away because they were concerned with his health, who knows if that was the real reason.  It really upset him when the "Green farmer" took over the place and dozed out the conservation structures he had built years earlier.  Not making as much per acre yield  as he had didn't make him happy either. When they voted to sell the farm and he called their bluff by insisting he get 1/3d of the farm, they weren't happy but gave in when he called a lawyer.   I think the reason he bought the CIH tractor was that he was able to climb into it easier as his legs were getting worse.  When I talked to him earlier in the fall, even though he had not finished combining, he sounded so happy that he was back on the farm he grew up on.  As someone said, it was only right that he got to grow and harvest one more crop.  We are going to miss that ornery old guy, but our lives are better because of the thousands of posts he made over the years.
If his old lady, er Loving wife, has an auction, would someone in the area please go and bid whatever it takes to procure that evil "machine"?  I'm sure it's in the shed in front of the AC G combine, the one place he wouldn't show me.
Rest in Peace my friend.     BTW I'm also known as JohnCo and John Colo but for the fourth time I could not get on the site without changing my handle,  aarrgh!

Sad to hear of his passing but I was afraid it was coming. There is a big hole in the Forum community now and I am sure in his local community also. My condolences to Mrs Dee and the rest of his caring family. Glad that he got to harvest corn one more time.
