Well, it got us pretty good.  6 inches of heavy wet stuff.  He's either got it on remote control or automatic pilot.  Haven't heard lately, hope he's on the mend.

Sioux City, I Got just over 12" Sunday night to mid Tuesday morning. What came Sunday-Monday am @ 30-33*f was really wet & heavy it kept plugging snowblower.
Renter says 9-10" @ farm, wind came up and my lane has just inside road gate a 3' drift across lane for about 200'. Lane is closed until he wants to loadout grain.

Started here about 11:30 on Monday and it's still dropping a little, but tapering off.  WET heavy stuff!!  Now the wind has kicked up to about 30mph and the temps aren't too bad right now, highs in the 20s, but Saturday they are predicting a high of -2......
When is spring??

11-12” people are reporting here. Wet and heavy but the snowblowers managed ok if you didn’t push it. Plowing was not an option in some spots. Just too slippery

14 measured inches here in south central IA.   The boys just got the roads plowed. I've got to take the ol plow truck in to the shop and see it they can find out the electrical problem. Grandsons are driving both 4X4's to work for now.

More snow this week.
Sioux City, Wed 1/10/24. Morning TV Prediction for "light snow showers" in late afternoon, got 2.5-3" in about 4 hours.
Now predicted for 1/11 - 1/14/24, additional 7 - 11" for most of western Iowa. Dropping temps with the snow; Sat, Sun, Mon high temps to be subzero. Maybe up to 10-15*f by next Thursday.

I do feel for those that have livestock chores when the weather gets like this.
My Renters got rid of cows last spring, they're in their 70's. About T'day we shutoff water & electric to waterers and put an air fitting on water shutoffs & blew air into pipes to prevent freeze.

I wish he'd point that thing up this way. I like snow. It's part of winter. And, it get's rid of the riff raff.

Another 12" on top of the 14 inches we got the other day. I was able to get to the nursing home yesterday before it snowed again. Mom was twittering like a young bird.   Gonna be fun tomorrow to get these grandsons to work. Oldest ones gal pal hasn't been able to get her car to work all week. I will be loving the first 40° day we have.

Sure hope yer boss don't see this...Confused Ouch

200Tom1......I'll be lookin forward to that 40 degrees too, but I don't think it's gonna happen for at least a couple of months.  After that first good snow and it stays, we're in for it until sometime in March.  Course you're farther south so you'll get it earlier than I will, but I'm not gonna hold my breath!

All youse guys enjoy it,,,,,,,,,, it only comes twice a year....

Not much pretty here, as well is so cold does not set in one place long with our 40mph winds.  Temps to shotgun into Minus Single digits, forecast -8 tonight which means LOADS of frozen everything across the county.
