Anybody well schooled on Terramites? There's a 1984 T5 for sale close by that runs and operates. It's an 18hp Kohler. Guy is asking $3,800. Any opinions?

From what I heard, they are pretty good for light utility work, in firm ground.  Not so much in mud, and 18 hp is about right for the pumps they have.  And no 4wd, IIRR...Wink

Yeah I'm going to look close. I told Danielle it's going to have to really impress me before we deal. I've got my eye on a bigger tractor too and that's something that would actually come in handy and not just be a toy around here.

Handy machines and simple to work on, bad thing about owning something small and handy like this is all the neighbors will want to borrow it. Look at the ground where it's parked before you move it for oil leaks and be sure outriggers hold their position. Lots of rental stores and plumbers have had them around Central Illinois over the years as they were cheaper than other brands. Depending on the job may be too small for some tasks, not gonna clear a hedge row.
