I purchased a L3 with three position automatic header height controll. The header that came with the combine is an older floating cutter bar header with 2 position sensor. They will not work together
Is it possible to put the three position sensor on this header
Thanks

Yes they will work.  Use the middle or MID position on the button that will send power down. THEN when the unit clicks the switch to RAISE power the BLUE wire.  To lower the other switch will click and it must send power to the RED wire.  The Red wires will be/should be, jumped at the harness connector - it takes power to BOTH RED wires to lower. Blue - sky raise - Red (danger) lower.  Blue raise -  Red lower.
The switch should be set to always lower when the head is off the ground - when it touches the ground there will be a 'dead zone' then as the head continues to lower or signals to raise it will click the raise microswitch.   The THREE springs do not determine cutting heights - just how far the back of the head is carried off the ground.  Hope this helps.
