I have a L3 sn26576
I had low hydraulicpressure issues and mistakenly removed a plug for the priority valve looking for the pressure relief. Now i have no power steering. Ive removed and installed the priority valve SEVERAL times and cant find anything wrong with it. The steering hand valve in the cab only has 2 lines which controls a steering valve at rear of the combine. If anyone has had an issue like this id love to know how you overcame it
Thanks

If the fluid level is sufficient, check the belt tension for the hydraulic pump to make sure it's alright.

Have you lost the other hydraulics as well? Will the header/feeder house lift, or auger swing?

Its only steering. I dont think theres a problem with the belt because if i lift the feeder house all the way up and hold the button it loads the engine. All other hydraulics work fine. Its either the priority valve or the steering valve i think but I cant figure out how to test either

Probably is local to the steering then, I've never heard of a steering valve acting up, likely a problem elsewhere in the system.

This issue sounds familiar, like within the last year someone else had the same issue. Try a search on priority valve see what comes up.

Check the flow divider in the end of the pump = the first 3  maybe more - gallons goes to steering and the rest goes to the hyd section.
