Good evening all. Those of you that had a visit from Ophelia hope everyone fared well. We lost a tree and had some minor flooding but all things considered we did ok. Now to my question. I am in the middle of a restoration project on a 1951 model G. I pulled the front wheels and was going to clean and repack the bearings. I literally had to beat the hubs off the tractor using a sledgehammer and large metal drift that my wonderful wife held for me. I had to heat one side to the point that it ruined the bearing but I finally got both hubs off. After cleaning everything I started measuring the bearings and the spindles. The inner bearings are Bower #1380 the outers were Timken #09081. The Bower inside diameter was .873-.874 the spindle measured .875. The inner bearing was .808-.809 and the spindle was .810. What are the correct bearings and grease seals I need to use? There’s no way I should have to drive the bearings on the spindle. I cleaned the spindle with emory cloth but still the bearing would not go on. If someone has the correct bearing and seal numbers I would be very great full if you would share the information. Thanks in advance.

sometimes it helps to put the NEWER  "70" in front of the old ALLIS part numbers, if your searching the internet..... example. 70800449

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
