Try just tightening the nut first.

Unscrew nut from rear of cylinder. Place a catch pan under cylinder. Raise lift lever to top, when old packing blows out, lower lever and arms. Remove rear cylinder pin, nut, old packing. Reassemble in reverse order.                   MACK

Just offering advice but I would rebuild both cylinders. My luck would be the other cylinder would be soon to follow. I learned that lesson on a CA. I just recently rebuilt the cylinders on my 185.

The last couple sets of packing I got for a cylinder, I got from Motion Industries. I don't think anywhere else can come close to the low cost they sell for.
Motion Industries has a store finder on their website. Stores all over the US as far as I know.

If rams are like most....pitting and scoring make it hard for new packing to do its job.

WD cylinders don't rust and pit like alot of cylinders because they seal to shaft not bore.                      MACK
