Looking for small square bale loader that mounts to side of wagon ETC.

Bale on the ground.

Then come thru with wagon and loader to fill the wagon.

I can bale right onto wagon but it can get very hazardous on steep ground. Wagon can push baler around dangerously.

New Holland used to(may still) make a bale wagon that would pick up the bales, and stack them on the wagon. Available in self propelled, or pulled behind tractor. You need and attachment on the baler to set the bales on the ground, a certain way.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

They are still sitting around here on the other coast. Most have been sitting 50 to 60 years with the advent of the New Holland self-loading bale pick up machines. These just conveyed the bale up and a person stalked on the truck bed. But would guess with a kicker wagon with sides you could just let them fall in.

yea

Heston or NH stack wagon was an option but not practical for me.

I currently have 2 kicker wagons 8 x 18 can put "hand stack" 200ish bales on each and then unload the next day or whenever.

I tried a baler with kicker. Sold it after the first use. Not interested In making banana bales ....
Yea, iam sure I was doing something wrong .... But just don't like that process.

Can’t think of the brand but there is a pull behind unit that puts I think 10 bales in a cube. Then it wraps twine around it. A door opens at the rear to release the cube and the process starts over again. Then you come along with a loader tractor with claws and pick the cube up and place it on a wagon. A friend of mine has one and he said it works well.

I have what I believe to be a Meyers bale loader. It is ground driven, and have tested but not used in the field. Located in West Central Illinois. Pictures on request.

We had a New Idea model that hooked to the side of the wagon, ground driven . Picked bales up about 4 layers above wagon. My first job driving a tractor. John deere and at least one other brand badged the exact same model. There should be a bunch sitting around as no one around here touches a bale any more.

The Meyer loader pulls along side of the wagon...is simple and durable. We have had one since we bought the first round baler in 1952. (It is for sale if anyone is interested as i am retiring from the hay game) This machine along with a 42 ft. king Wyse elevator with an 18ft. mow extension put the round bales within throwing distance of anywhere in our barns. These were game changers in our operation. Too bad time moves on!!! I still recall the 12-15,000 bales handled each year up untill about 3 years ago when the body started to get too weak to move them any more

Uncle had 1 either a NECO or SnoCo brand. It worked very good but the bottom and 6" of the chute sides were solid sheet metal so when a bale came out it had all the chaff, leaves and dirt from the previous bale in front of it. A dirty nasty job on a hot day.
We loaded bales into 2 straight trucks for a guy once his was a New Idea? it was on a pipe frame so the trash stayed in the field, he had a hitch bolted to truck bed. A lot nicer for the guys stacking, his wife or kid (small) rode with him and looked out RH truck window to guide him on bales.

Kneib pop-up bale loader. Made in St Joseph MO. Used to put up about 9000-10000 bales per summer. Could attach to trailer or a grain truck with the sides off. I'm sure there's quite a few in the midwest although I haven't seen one working in a field for over 20 years.
