My CA has had a cap on the remote hydraulic port ever since I've had it. I need to run a remote cylinder now, and would like to know if the threads are 1/2" tapered pipe thread or are they 1/2" straight thread. Anyone know right off?

i dont ever recall running into a straight thread on a tractor... I think all the hydraulic fittings are taper pipe.
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.

are you mesureing the hole size with a tape measure ? because 3/8 or 1/4 npt seems more inline to me

I’ve had several CA’s and 2 of them had capped outlets. I bought 2 Pioneer female couplers from Rural King and installed them and are working well after many years of service.

The reason I asked was that after installing the 1/2" NPTF coupler fitting, it leaked like a sieve. I've replaced many over the years without any problems at all. I replaced a worn one on my WD45 last year and if memory is correct, it used a rubber washer and back-up nut. CA Parts Catalog shows a "ring, snap, coupler nose", P/N 224872 installed behind the coupler nose. Is that an o-ring?

Jim when I installed mine I just used Teflon tape. By the way I’m the guy who stopped by your place several years ago and picked up a single rear weight for a CA. Again, thanks.
