Came across a little Ford 1600 with the 2 cylinder diesel and loader. Hours only 850 and the price was good (thankfully). Tractor is really good shape but made a bad assumption that parts are reasonably available like with all my AC's; parts are almost non-existent. I have a 1000 which is the same tractor but a 1973 and the 1600 started in 1976. New parts really are only available through a New Holland dealer and most are discontinued. Used, or salvage are your best bet but they weren't produced but about six, or seven years so lacking a lot of availability. Fortunately, they are a robust in construction tractor. ------------- That's All Folks! |

I sold my 1900 for the same reason. I actually liked it and miss it but it was needing repairs and no availability. |

Long Lane Tractor in Elizabethtown, PA Chalkers in Southington, Ohio Long lane has about 3 acres of the Ishikawajima Shibaura Fords. They are absolute experts on those tractors. Chalkers has a few rows of them. Can’t remember off hand exactly which ones they have, but probably have at least one of the 1600 models. I have two of the Shibaura Fords, 1910 and 1210. Very good for the size.

It's a handy little tractor, complete and with very minor issues. Only 860 hours and garage kept. But probably going to send it down the road and pick up something else....too much time scouring the world for the simplest of parts.
