I want to move the seat on my WD to the center of the tractor. OR, how do I get the center of my site down the center of the tractor for planting and being on the marker row?

So, a temporary thing ?? Just bolt a 1/2" thick plate 4 inches wide and about a foot long (you decide on the length) to the top of the existing seat location sideways and move the seat pan over to the left whatever amount it takes to get centered as you like. Does your tractor have a wide front axle ?? If it does adjust the marker length so you drive with the one front wheel on the mark. Can't get much easier than that.

The wide front end would help, but it is a narrow front and I have to do something. When you look at my corn (1 acre of sweet corn) it looks like it was planted with a 4 row that was set wrong. Thanks for the advice.

Line up your front wheels on the mark, get in to your normal seating position and note where the marker appears on the front edge of the hood or grill shell. Apply a strip of black electrical tape for a reference mark.

.

As long as your planter rows match your cultivator rows, don't worry about being a bit off. Close the headland facing the road if worried about what the neighbors say... But don't worry about them.

Run a couple rows of birdseed sunflowers (black oil and giant gray stripe) and buckwheat along the road and no one will look at the corn. (This can also prep you for Regenerative Agriculture methods). I run the disk in a ring all around my fields and broadcast plant several species to bring in beneficial insects and birds as my insecticide program.

Other option is find a pole or angle iron that you bolt to the tractor frame to dangle a light chain out where a wide front wheel would be to line up on your planter mark. Less work than moving the seat and more accurate than looking down the hood since the chain could point down just inches from the mark. Paint the end of the chain a bright color to see easily.

A simple seat flip-over bracket will get you pretty close to the center. Have them on at least three of my WD's/45's.
