What is the major difference between the two

The biggest difference is the horsepower.  616 is 16 horse and 620 is 19 1/2 horsepower.
I had a 616 at one time but sold it to help pay for my first 720.  I did not have it long enough to get it running or use it. There may be more differences nut I do not know for sure.

I believe the early 616's had more narrow rear fenders, all 616's had light duty steering spindles. Lots of small parts were not the same either. The Onan was a CCKA with a downdraft carb versus the side-draft 720.
