I was sitting at my PC thinking about a project I'm going to start while I'm not doing anything. She asked me "what's wrong". I said, "I'm pondering". She said "get something to eat then" What? I don't think that's going to help.
Time off has been interesting

Sometimes it helps me to not think about it for awhile so my brain works on it in the back of my mind.

I have a WORD Document on the Screen of my computer... Have 20 or so things that "TO DO"...listed a Bullet Points.... some have been there for 3-4 years.. Keep adding MORE as they come up and move important to the top...
When i get DONE with one, i turn the text RED and move to the bottom and list by month'' Jan 2022 , Feb 2022 ... etc... that way i can look back and see when i "replace the sink faucet" , or "sprayed roundup on the driveway"..... list is about 10 years old now and a couple dozen pages long..
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thanks for the suggestions. Guess I should have been clearer on the subject.
Wife can't hear for chit, she thought I said I was hungry. I just left it alone and didn't say anything.

Hard of hearing is the disability people seem to be least patient with or considerate of.
For me, it also confuses people that I have bionic hearing in some ranges and major loss in others.

Same here, can hear low tone conversations where the higher pitch of Wife or other women being loud is lost!! That infernal High pitched whine is same level as my tinnitus!! My hearing aids cover the 'ringing' where as people that know me come around and attempt to speak quietly it is heard and I do not let on. Lost a few so called 'friends' over the last few years that reason. Tinnitus is really bad anymore but as noted the aids for some reason overcomes the noise, just a distant background buzz not a ringing.

I have had tinnitus my whole life. School nurse caught it when I was in the 2nd grade. Ignore it for the most part. Louder sometimes more than others.
My brother and I went back into the scrub in New Mexico around the 4 corners area many years ago, about 6- or 7-miles in. The silence was deafening if that makes any sense from the ringing in my ears.

Concerned HusbandA concerned husband went to a doctor to talk about his wife. He says to the doctor, “Doctor, I think my wife is deaf because she never hears me the first time and always asks me to repeat things.” “Well,” the doctor replied, “go home and tonight stand about 15 feet from her and say something to her. If she doesn’t reply move about 5 feet closer and say it again. Keep doing this so that we’ll get an idea about the severity of her deafness.” Sure enough, the husband goes home and does exactly as instructed. He starts off standing about 15 feet from his wife in the kitchen as she is chopping some vegetables and says, “Honey, what’s for dinner?” He hears no response. He moves about 5 feet closer and asks again. No reply. He moves 5 feet closer. Still no reply. He gets fed up and moves right behind her, about an inch away, and asks loudly, “Honey, what’s for dinner?” She replies, “For the fourth time, vegetable stew!”

An old woman visits the doctor for a routine check-up. "Doctor, I have constant gas, but the farts are always silent and they don't stink!" The doctor prescribes her some pills and sends her on her way. Two weeks later she returns for a follow-up. "Doctor, I still have constant silent farts, but now they stink!" Doctor replies, "Alright, so we have cleared out those sinuses, now for your hearing..."
