Can anyone tell me which other transmissions are interchangeable with one in an E3 combine? I am pretty sure the K is. Would the F be the same?

Asking for a neighbor.
Thanks!

DseriesIV, probably all older model Es & all early model Ks(1969-1977). Should check part number though?? I can check later when I’m back in my office.

Later 7-25-22 Edit/update:The older E trans’ beam/tube assy MOUNTINGS differs from EIII/K/K2 models. The E’s trans mountings are positioned on top of their trans. The EIII/K/K2’s trans mountings are positioned on front of their trans. Hence the difference in their CASE trans part#s as follows.

E parts catalog, May 1967 shows following;
Case, trans 71131408(prior trans 3-63-0001).
Case, trans 71131690(Eff. Trans 3-63-0001&up).

EIII/K parts catalog,Sept 1972 shows following;
E3 & K trans case assy part# is 71151727.
K trans shafts,axle drives differ @ sn18601.(may or may not affect, trans swap??)
EIII/K trans clutch bell housing part# 71145047.
71141628-beam asy,axle(EIII;prior an K 5001).May or may not affect swap?
71153760-beam asy,axle(Eff. An K 5001-8201). May or may not affect swap?

K2/F2 parts catalog, Oct 1978 shows following;
K2 trans case assy part# 71151727 (same as EIII/K).

Note; the 71151727 EIII/K/K2 transmissions should readily interchange. The E will not readily interchange to EIII/K/K2s without at least beam/tube fabrications.
While doing a 71151727 trans swap, take the opportunity to RE-SEAL drive shaft SEALS (2 - Left & Right sides, part# 71145028) on usable trans before re-installing it.

My neighbor just bought a K that has been sitting many years.  Looks to be an older one, so hopefully the transmission will fit the E3 without any major problems.

Early k and E3 the same. I went to south central MS and cut up a K for parts. I salvaged everything except engine for my E3.
