When I bought my D12 Series 3, one of the previous owners had built a battery box on the right side of the tractor. I have bought a new battery box and want to return it to behind the seat (left side) where it belongs.

Last week I was at one of our local fairs, where a guy had a D12 Series 3, but it did not have the high/low (mine does). I took a picture of the battery cable routing (below). It is, basically, routes the same as my D10's.

I was planning to look for the cover for the top of the transmission, but, when I look at mine (bottom picture), there is no provision for the cable or cover on it.

Any idea how the battery cable is supposed to be routed from the battery box to the starter and what is supposed to protect it when you have the high low transmission?

I have D12 series 3 and will try to post some pictures of the cable routing on my tractor. I have owned the tractor for 35 years…give or take a year or 2. The cable is the same now as when I bought the tractor. I believe it is original…not 100% sure.

The picture file is too large and I’m not smart enough to resize it

Avery... if your photo is too large to import to this site, you need to shrink it down BEFORE you try to download..  If your on a computer, you can open the photo in PAINTBRUSH or other program and  changed the size to about 800 x 600 pixels.. Most cameras these days are taking 5000 x 3000 size photos .... go 15 or 20% of that and then you can SAVE and then Download to this site....... If your using a cell phone im not sure how you shrink it... Reset the camera so it take MORE PHOTOS and LESS RESOLUTION...Nothing wrong with a  2000 x 1600 photo for storage.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thank you very much AveryD12 !!!

EDIT: I tried several times to upload the third photo with no luck. I will try again tomorrow.
