I am in the process of restoring an early B with parts from a '39 and '40. Both have transmission to clutch driveshafts with "u" joints, one is frozen, the other one is pretty loose. Is it OK to use a later solid shaft?
TIA
Bill

No reason why not. Although check the splines on the donor shaft and those on the input to the transmission.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Thanks Paul
I didn't want to get it to the point of reassembly and force something that shouldn't be.
