Needing another delivery van. Stopped into the car dealership where I used to work. They had a 2012 Chrysler town and Country just come in from Repo. Red. Looks good, needs 4 tires plus a pair of snow tires for winter. I'm gonna drive it tomorrow. Sure got's a lot more equipment on it than the 2007 I've been driving for the past hundred thousand miles. I use 2 different cell phones. This one is like my pickup, phone works thru the radio. Sure handy while driving. Gots more darn knobs and push buttons on the dash and steering wheel than any other van, truck,or car I've owned.

For what its worth, not to sound like a soccer mom or anything, but I like a mini van, especially for traveling

Them touch screen displays can have almost your full life programed into them , plus every part of the vehicle controls also .
Pairing the phone with bluetooth is just one part , as you can get GPS on it also and dealer can get a reduced activation cost if it isnt already activated

Ya Coke I ain't figured much of it out yet. I did find out " If you punch 1 button on the radio, it will change the radio channel to whatever you tell it too.

Years, and years ago, wife and I had a Dodge Grand Caravan. Liked it a lot for traveling and hoofing the kids around. This was before all these displays, screens, gps, buttons & switches up the wazoo. The only thing on the steering wheel was the horn, lol.

We had a 1985 - 89 - 92 -98 .... 4 different vans.. Worked  GREAT when the kids were 5- 15 years old......... Then they started calling the "soccer mom" bit and we had to change to an Explorer after that.. Wink

-------------
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I disagree .... the Pontiac Aztec Dead is far uglier than the Aerostar.

My most recent company vehicle was a 2022 Plymouth Voyager. Nice car, very 'sporty', but I don't get where they can call it a 'minivan'! that is a station wagon!

Worked on numerous older Chrysler mini vans, not certain how the newer ones are but I could not see ever owning any.

Wasted space most of the time, tend to be in City underpowered stop and go drivers that cannot be acceptably loaded for convenience.

at least the Dodge's will allow 4by8 sheets to lay flat in the back AND close the hatch , don't think ANY others will.

Son and his wife have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with the stow and go seats. Really handy hauling 4 x 8 sheets of plywood and they have used it for a camping van with 2 little ones. These vans are comfortable but not the greatest gas mileage.

Our first one in 1985 ( bought used) had a 4 cylinder... Nice van, but underpowered as Dave said.... After that they had two LARGER motors.. a 3 liter Jap engine and i think the other was a 3.3 liter USA motor.. I bought the USA motor and it was GREAT.. We normally bought a couple years old with 20K miles and then drove them till they had 100K and traded on another.. Did that multiple times... NEVER worked on one...Just GAS and GO.

FIrst one was a MINI ........ next 3 were the GRAND or stretched van... Good for hauling the kids / ball Team back and forth... Hauled a lot home from Menards and Lowes.

I think all vans are ugly. But we had 2 of the Dodge mimies  with 3 rows of seats models. Drove and rode very well on the back roads or highway.

Shameless. I had one when the kids was a growing up. Pulled the boat to the lake, pulled the real nice pull type camper to the lake, rented a permenent spot for it. Both are gone now. I had 4 new tires put on the van today. I was hoping someone would tell me anything good or bad about the motor it has. This is the 5th or 6th one of these we've had. I couldn't figure out how to change the radio channels. Come to find out you takes your left thumb and push a button on the steering wheel and then tell the radio which station you want to listen to. Darn weather, at least I know the heater and air conditioner both work.
