Why in the world are these blades made more than an inch and a half long ?? There's NO way in H%^#L any saw can cut that accurately with a blade any longer than that ClapSmile !!

I 'saw' that one was coming...Wink.

Probably a 'perceived' value / marketing thing. $4 for 4" is ok....$4 for 2" , BAD !

BTW longer blades cut 3" styrofoam  fine

i use the longer ones to cut tree branches and firewood at the campground. i use my battery operated recarple saw. i did see some that dewalt makes that are about an inch-1/2 long. i thought i had all the different sizes, but i don't have any that short! i soon will tho!

That's what i use to trim my trees a cordless reciprocal saw and 6- or 12-inch blades.  Of course, I don't care how accurate the cut is as long as the branch comes off.

I have a worn blade that I snapped off at about 1-1/2 " that I use when cutting drywall in demolition work so that I don't end up cutting through electrical cables. I watched my SIL use a Sawsall with a about a 6" long blade for cutting out some drywall  when he was renovating one room and ended up having repair the drywall in the adjacent room as well.

Who would have ever thought about the couch in the other room. Kinda like shooting mice in the house with a 270.
