Dang Steve, are you a vehicle appraiser? Spent some time with Kelly and came up with 29,184. Planning on replacing it with an F150 since we are going out of the camping hobby. Here is what I ordered in 2012.
F250 XLT crew cab short box, 2 WD. Added side moldings, spray in bed liner, upfitter switches, Ford running boards, 4.30 locking diffy
They come with trailer hitch, 4 and 7 pin elec connector, 6 speed auto
Has 67K miles,
Garage kept in perfect condition
For my towing needs I installed Firestone air bags, 42 Gal in bed RDS tank with in cab fuel gauge, and switch for fuel transfer pump for on the fly fuel transfer. Plus the in bed rails for the 15K Reese fifth wheel hitch. Just added 4 LR E Michelins before change of plans.

Crew Cab and 67K miles / garage kept are all a PLUS.. motor ( gas or diesel) is owner preference

I just traded my F250 2017 with 36000 miles and the dealer gave me $1000 less in trade than what I paid for it. Mine was an upgraded XLT with the high package on it 4-wheel drive, snowplow, towing package, mirrors and 6.5 bed. Basically, a grocery getter LOL Just looked on their website and they are asking 3000 more than sticker. Good used trucks are in high demand. Your price for a 2012 sounds good but with what you have on it I would ask 35,000 you can always go down but not up. Just my opinion.

browse thru Ebay, see what they might have for prices. what's wrong with keeping your truck? is it paid for? maybe just want to buy a Chevy or Ram or Toyota? i have 2- one tons that i'm keeping for a daily driver...why? cuz i like the trucks and they are both paid for!

That truck was paid for the day I drove it off the lot. I bought it to tow a 10K fifth wheel camper and it has done great doing that. I am out of the camping business.
I don't need and it is not my life style to drive that hungry animal around as a daily driver.
And since the subject game up, I will never drive a government sponsored/supported set of wheels. I will probably wind up with an F150. That 250 has never been in the shop for a repair.

X2 !
Nor will I drive one owned by a foreign corporation (Fiat, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Isuzu, etc.). I guess that leaves just one choice.

Everyone has to do what they think is best, myself? I'd just keep the 250 if it's been a good truck, but that's just me.

A 2012 F250 is a very nice truck... but built for pulling. Standard motor is 6.2 gas V8 motor... It likes the fuel.... You can get a F150 with a 5.0 motor or turbo 3.5 motor that both have better mileage and better ride... If your not pulling 10K Constantly, the F150 is probably a better option in the long run... And for that kind of money, you can get a F150 that is 5 years newer.
