Been on my Bucket List for several years. Finally going to go on Thursday and do some side by side comparisons on a new 3 point rotary "Bushhog" mower. I hope one day is enough to see it all.

Unless you walk fast, talk very little and know exactly where you are going and what you want to see.....two days ain't enough. Good luck.

How did Allis represent themselves at the farm show ? Or was it more up to the dealers?

It's been a dozen years since I was there, long time since I went to the one in California too.  Then again, I'm not buying new equipment like I did twenty years ago.

Back in Allis-Chalmers days, if there were any local dealerships, they may have had inventory that was delivered to Lville to be put on display, and then picked up after the show was over. OR Allis may have also shipped in fresh new equipment and then Dealers picked them up at the end. Whatever it took to put on the display that Len Scheiber wanted to show off. He was their Farm Progress Show/Nebraska Husker days/ any big show around the country, he was the man in charge.

At the Colorado Farm Show last month they had two of the big Fendt's, the new MF 8 series and a couple smaller MF tractors and hay equipment including a self propelled disk swather with maybe an 18' head.  I saw somewhere the price for one is over $200 grand.

I haven't been since about 2006. I promised myself that I would never go again. It's only about 80 miles from me and last time I went it was for only 1 day and I was so tired from walking it took me a week to recover. Not to mention everything was so expensive from parking to a hotdog. I enjoyed it so much when I was a young fart back in the early 70's and "ALLIS CHALMERS" had the best presentation of them all. Now I'm just too dam old.
