I know there are some manifold studs that go into the water jacket on the 226 gas engine.  I have to replace the stud at the back of the engine.  All the other ones are good.  I am hoping to avoid having to drain the coolant.

Will I have a flood on my hands when I get it loosened up?

Just changed one a couple of weeks ago. Leave radiator cap on. Have new stud threads already doped up with sealer. Loosen to the last thread and make a quick switch. I lost a thimble full of coolant.
