OK guys I got a new to me Allis 7000 a1976 model which apparently needs a lot of work to get up to my standards. First question is I have two leaky injectors number one and number two; I’ve ordered new copper sleeves and O rings for those two injectors. Can you tell me what kind of a tool I need to replace the copper sleeves with and where I can find such a tool? As always thanks to all! Dana

Would think Agco should have something - Have heard a Cummins tool is close to redo the copper sleeves- or a Cummins shop can fix them

hmm, should you also replace the other injector parts, while you're at it ?? My luck, fix 1+2 then 3 and 6 would leak....

You have to remove the cylinder head to do that. It's expensive and involved. Wouldn't be surprised if the head is cracked too.

I am not very good with the search system but in the past I have posted the tool spec sheet to install the sleeves. If you can't find it, I can get them to you. Sent spec sheet to those that wanted to have a set made but have never heard if it worked out. Dale

“7 grand”. Is that your nickname for your new AC 7000? I still like “Mater” cause of it’s tow truck mirrors. Cars movie, Mater’s quote, “Ain’t no need to watch where I’m going,,, just need to know where I’ve been...”
Congratulations! Hoping your 2900’s head isn’t cracked. Regardless, I know you’ll have it purring to your satisfaction soon.

Let's just slow down here, Bunky. You say injectors are leaking. Leaking what ??? If you're leaking COOLANT, you have a cylinder head issue and the head has to be removed to replace injectors copper tubes, OR the head is cracked, still have to remove the head. Most of the time when someone says they have "injectors leaking" it is simply a valve cover gasket !!!!!

Can you post a pic ?? If you were replying to me, I have no clue as to your machine, other than it "might" have come from Plevna ??

If injectors are leaking at copper seat, they will be clean and dust seal may be gone. If injector is leaking where tip cap screws on or valve cover leaking, it will be oily. MACK

Believe Dr Allis when he tells you to check the valve cover for leakage! Sure glad I listened to him on that subject. A friend of mine who had the same issue, wouldn't listen to me, and pulled the injector. Afterwards, he tightened the valve cover bolts slightly, and ate some crow Darrel

Dana, as Dr says. Check for what leaks, oil is likely from Valve Cover Gskt, bolts work loose and leak, can tighten them 1 or 2 times then needs gskt. If that's your leak there's a update for the cover bolts it's part #74036974 it was started in early '82. The Valve Cover Gskt is #74008074. I've done 5 - 6 on 100 series over 20 yrs, so far no leaks. IF it's diesel fuel leaking check the return line fittings for leak before pulling injectors. I use a couple cans of brake cleaner to help dry up area leaking, then run a few hours.

Oh believe me y’all I listen to our Doc! And Mack! And y’all! I’m too busy like I said flying and building ano5er tractor storage building BUT we lifted the side cover off of Bicentennial. Bandit and sure enough it looks and smells like OIL! But my concern is still…she just didn’t sound right…. So we shall see when the time comes I will dive into this project. Thanks so much to all. Previous owner said the injection pump had not over 70 hours on a rebuild. When my rebuilt pumps return they look like new. This one on the Bicentennial Bandit doesn’t look like that so IDK maybe a garage Fix or nothing? Thanks Dana

wasn't there an update for the valve cover bolts? my gasket was leaking some on my 7010 and when the dealer replaced it, they put little springs at each hole that the bolts went thru. and that's a mighty nice looking tractor Capt!

Hello all I’ve been waiting on parts…plus flying too moch plus working on her big sister 7020! Words of wisdom…do not buy 4 tractors in 2 months and try to make ‘em all brand new at once while working full time!! I installed a new PTO in the 7000 (custom made by bunker hill) and am awaiting new brakes, belts and valve cover gasket with improved fasteners. She has new front tires now and a new BL rim. As for the ‘20 Brenda just shipped the belts, trans filters, lots more. I bought 2 newer rear rims for her also and will buy a new air ride seat. Hey I gotta go and fly to Mena Ar. See ya. Dana
