Even as did not graduate with the class I have been invited back into their fold, our 50th is coming up quick where it has been noted a full third of our classmates did not make the journey. Many of our friends passed early into adulthood, some to drugs a few to suicide and a great deal of health issues as cancers or heart disease and accidents.

Mine would have been 45 this year. I think it was the 35th reunion they were after me to go. Found a couple of classmates and we talked for a bit. Sheesh...talk about pain and misery. No thanks, couldn't get out of fast enough anyway and then relive some of it, I don't think so.

Graduated in '90. Skipped my 5 year reunion, then hemmed and hawed and finally went to my 10 year reunion and had a really good time. Then went to my 15 year reunion and it was like all of the clique's reformed. Terrible time. Skipped the 20 and 25 year reunion's but then ran into a gal that I graduated with after the 25 year reunion and was kind of "guilt tripped" into pledging to attend the 30 year reunion. One of COVID19's silver linings was that the 30 year reunion was canceled. Doubt I'll be attending any more.

Haven’t been to any but going to the town where I grew up and where I graduated next weekend to see big boy train and visit. My dad still lives out that way. Will get to spend a day with him. I still visit with a friend of mine from high school quite often even though I haven’t seen him since graduation.

Last year would have been my 40th. I assume it was canceled, as I never received any information on it. My wife and I went to my 10th, and 25th. We had a pretty good time at both.

Hear I thought I was a stick in the mud. Never just went to the bar to socialize. Did not care to have to leave "them thar hill" as young guy.
But the loving wife was on the planning and organizing for her high school reunions for years. An that was the school 15 miles down the road from mine........The Arch Ravel.
An she just up and signed us up to go to all off mine too. So I have been to a lot of them, some much better than others. But none have been that bad. I don't drink enough to talk about, so not that costly to sit and watch other get plastered. And see some you knew where never going to be much have a brain after all and used it. As well as the big shots that are not so big anymore.

Our class was supposed to have a get together in September but it has been postponed due to covid. I have been to all of mine and enjoyed them. Our class was small, 80 people and most of us have remained friends through the years, sadly quite a few have passed on. Some of the gals still look fine, time has not been kind to some of the others. Wife has not been to any of hers.

@Hubert (GA)engine7; Small is definitely a relative term. My graduating class had 28 in it. And we're the 2nd largest district in the county. Some of the small consolidated country schools only average 8-15 per graduating class. It was a little bit of culture shock when I went to college and would talk to city people that said they had 3000 students in the school they went to. When I replied that that was more than twice the number of people in my hometown, the look on their face kind of told me that they were starting to hear "Dueling Banjo's" in their head. LOL.

my High School had 3700 students in 3 grades... Graduated with over 1200 kids.. Didnt know 1000 of them.. Moved 500 miles and have not heard or seen anyone in 50 years.
Son went to a grade school here that was 80 kids spread across grades 1- 8.

Went to our 10 year reunion and didn't have a very good time so skipped several. Last one a few years ago was our 40th. Had a great time. Enjoyed seeing how fat some of the gals got who thought their stuff didn't stink back in the day. We had only one high school in the county and had 120 in our graduation class.

My 50th will be in 2023. I love seeing all the hot cheerleaders with azzez fatter than a pen fed steer and the little mousy ones are good looking now and cuter than before.. We have lost a lot of our class had 6 or 7 missing by our 5 year reunion.

I suffered through our 15th. My kissin cousin made me take her. Haven't been to one since and our 55th is coming up next year. Wife never went to even one of hers. The guys and gals I want to see are the ones I do every once in a while. We only had 366 in our class. Only one I would have like to go to was the 35th. I could have stuck it to all those snob noses....I was retired and none of them were.

My Class of '76 has had regular reunions every five years. Sadly, our 45th could not be held due to Covid this year. I have always enjoyed attending and have also helped with organizing. There were only 44 students in my graduating class, so it is not an enormous job. In our case, it seems that those who got good marks, or were involved in sports or clubs and enjoyed their high school years, usually attend. Those who didn't do so well or didn't have a particularly good high school experience for some reason, are usually not interested. I made some life-long friends in high school and it is always great to renew old friendships. We have lost at least four classmates so far. The last time I saw any of them was at a class reunion.

Graduated 70 years ago and have never attended even one, I imagine the ranks are pretty well thinned out by now. should have been 71, but I repeated first grade due to the great depression.

Dusty, you pretty much covered me also. 60th was to be last year but covid came. We were going to do it this year but it didn't happen. We usually have about 16 out of a class of 26 show up. Not bad for a bunch of almost 80 year olds. I have enjoyed those I could make, and keep in touch with a few via e-mail. Bob@allisdowneast
