Just purchased a 190xt. I absolutely love it, when it runs. :) for some reason it acts like it’s running out of fuel. Fuel sediment bowls are clean, I replaced the fuel filter. I disconnected the fuel line that comes off the fuel pump and blew backwards towards the tanks to dislodge any debris. It will run for 10-20 minutes and then all the sudden die out. When I open the valve on the bottom of the fuel filter it sucks air as if it doesn’t have any fuel making it to the filter. Fuel sediment bowls are full of fuel. After a few seconds it will start to drip fuel and then it will start again after cranking for a minute. Runs again for another 10 minutes and does the same thing again. Any suggestions?

try taking the little fitting out on top of pump. It’s the return line and in that fitting there’s a little ball as the check valve. See if there’s junk stuck up in that fitting. If so try cleaning it. You can ether clean and try it or that ball is glass and can be broken out of there. But if there is stuff in there it usually means the pump needs to be rebuilt as the junk your finding is pieces of the flex ring.

By the way welcome to the forum

Thanks Mike. Can you tell me from this picture on what fitting your referring to? uploads/22368/696E153C-F1D7-4869-837C-597CBE01B43D.jpeg" rel="nofollow - 696E153C-F1D7-4869-837C-597CBE01B43D.jpeg

First thing, loosen the two screws in timing window on side of pump so fuel leaks out. Run it a while with fuel leaking out. If it runs OK then, it is time for a pump rebuild. Weight retainer is coming a part . Ed on here can fix you up.               MACK
