Was wondering, what breed has the better tasting meat when raised as a fryer/broiler?
What breed has the better tasting eggs?

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Cornish Rocks or White Mountain Broilers for meat. For eggs I like Rhode Island Reds or Plymouth Rock. They lay brown eggs and are dual purpose eggs or meat. I currently have Sex Links which are a cross between Plymouth Rocks and Rhode Island Reds. White Leghorns lay lots of eggs the eggs are white but not much meat.

I raise a few Cornish rock cross for meat and they are very good.  I have 13 different breeds of laying hens and Rhode Island reds and Plymouth Blue rocks I think have the best eggs.  The Plymouth blue rocks lay an egg the size of a duck egg.

Dont let them free range, things are killers, toads, frogs, anything that moves, got into milk weed and wiped out kids favorite Monarch butterfly caterpillars, over twenty gone.

Studies show they contract more disease this way also.
