Just putting on a new pump is not the best approach. You have metal particles inside everything and they will rapidly take out anything introduced with out a thorough cleaning/filtering of the system.

I cannot visualize what you're trying to do ?? Gleaner N-series hydros are a back-to-back pump-center section-motor all in one. You can't just take the pump out of it and do something. Buy the correct OEM parts and fix it right.
