So in addition to Big Brother watching, I gotta worry about my truck snitching on me too?

Guess I'll have to steal a horse and ride him to the next scene of my crime........and if the horse turns out to be Mr. Ed......I'm done for.

still don't have speakers on this PC but....
if you get a 'module' or 'ap' to get cheaper car insurance,  ANYONE with a few coins can get YOUR info. 'they' KNOW where you live, work, driving habits, speed, brakes, etc.
also never give the airbag 'puter' to anyone...more data !
OBD-III will have live 24/7 data sending....GREAT for cops to make $$$ without needing  RADAR guns.....all automatic..you speed..you get a ticket via email....nice,eh !

That's the way it has been going for several years. Data from an accident can be retrieved
from airbag deployment. I can do that. If you have GPS like a lot of the new vehicles it's
right there.
You can find anything you want if you are so inclined and spend the money.
Chip is next if you don't have it already.

I bought a 2019 Chevy in July of 19. I take it back to the dealership for the oil changes. 3 days after the first oil change I gots a call from GM. Not the dealership, GM corporate. They ask me about the pickup, ask me if I ever kept track of mileage, etc. I told them, Yes for the business I keep track of all miles and gallons of gas it uses. They are keeping track of my milage, where I buy gas, type of gas I use, etc. Non ethonal premium gas from BP it constantly runs 24-26 mpg. Measured miles not the estimator in the dash. Ethonal gas from the convience store, it runs 21-22.5 mpg. I don't mind giving them this info. They are not asking where and when I'm going.

BUT THEY KNOW.   AND THE GOVERNMENT CAN GET THAT INFORMATION IF THEY WANT.

Think about that even though you never had a impure thought Embarrassed, about the Dead of a official or even about that Confused in Nebrasi with a 'pretty machine". Why would anybody spend the time and money on tracking your auto. MONEY DOWN THE ROAD by selling your information.

Did you tell them about your 16ft tall trailer you pull while getting 27 mpg?

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I used E85 gas a few times, car is "Designed" for it, so a 15% ethanol blend netted me a 15% average loss of economy, removing the 15% ethanol from the gasoline quantities, I was burning The SAME amount of Gasoline per mile as straight gas NO Ethanol.  What a waste of effort.   Would have been easier/better to carry the ethanol and dump it out the window getting better gasoline mileage.

My vehicles will never snitch on me CoolThumbs UpWink I'll never have anything that has computer control.  Even my cell phone is so old it doesn't have a GPS tracking feature.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Not only that but with all the cameras everywhere, with the ones that are connected together all that has to be done is put in your licesense plate number and instantly they will know where you have been!

Build a small box lined with lead, and put your cell phone in it when in a vehicle.
