Several years ago I had repainted this part. But now putting tractor back together, I can't recall what it was for, or where it was mounted. Tractor did have corn picker on it at one time.

well, I don't believe it to be a stock/standard/original part, but I would go with Mack on this, it does look similar to the original snap coupler release

After looking at the lever I realized it would have to be mounted on the snap coupler release lever side. So I placed the lever over the next bolt, and it places the lift arm right over the foot clutch lock out lever. Then it hit me, I took the chain off that lever a bit ago thinking why would I want that on there. LOL  If that hand lever is home made there good.

Tim, I agree with Mack, SC release lever. That's different than what I've ever seen for SC release.This is the only style I've ever seen.

this is the snapcoupler release lever on my CA that is similar!

So I had a chance to mock up that lever today. I found it only fit in the bolt hole behind snap coupler lever. The position its in now, would disengage the foot clutch. When I pull the hand lever back, the lockout lever flips right up and over. Wants to chip new paint, and then hand lever goes ahead and down. Probably chip more new paint and rattle. Previous owner asked if I wanted the front mount buzz saw they used a lot with it. Nope, maybe that's why they rigged that lever up. So in the end I took it all back off, not going to use it.

Tim, your project is looking very good and quite familiar as I am restoring a WD45 and nearly at the same stage as you in assembly except its gotten to cold here in my shop in Illinois to do more painting for now. Looks like you went back to the original shade of orange too. Keep up the good work and post more pictures as you go along. Good luck

Looking really good. Now I see about this homemade lever and its function. It is hard to work that clutch lock and this was a way to do it easier.
Did you bring home the wheel of death? Some pictures of it would spark some conversation. I remember my dad had a front mount buzz rig on the WD that is now his GGson's.
The paint is looking awesome by the way! I love fresh orange!

I have one of those for my CA and as a kid, I cut a LOT of wood with one of them on a CA.  They are really dangerous and I'm surprised none of us boys lost and arm or anything.
They DO work like a charm though. You just have to be VERY careful around it.
