I just got everything back on this tractor.  Initial prob. was it would quit running under load...just like you turned it off.  One problem led to another and after points, coil, condenser, voltage regulator, recored radiator, and water pump.  It started this morning with no problem.

However, it seems to be idling fast.  What might I have done to change this?  How do I correct it?

Probably the linkage to carb, could be that things are correct now also, helping RPMs. If it is just a little probably carb adjust or idle stop screw . If really fast, could be governor linkage from removal and replacement of water pump and such. Let us know. Tracy

Low idle speed adjustment screw is on the inside (towards the engine block) and takes a small short flat blade screw driver. Push on this screw first to see if it idles slower. If it does, your hand throttle linkage needs to be tweaked a bit to force it to fully idle down. If it doesn't, turn the screw ccw until it idles where you want it. This info is in your Owners Manual.
