I know a guy that had a add on market place , his add was very clear on contact information , Some CRYBABY turned  him to face book page because he thought it took to long to get a response back ,but what he was asking was in the add . Just makes u wonder   why people can't read everything on add .

Because generally speaking, people are stupid. They can't read anything completely anywhere else, so why should FB be any different?

People don't take the time to read, think, process. They see something and their mouth/ fingers engage. When I was on face book I would get so annoyed because people would constantly ask question that were clearly stated in the add. One thing to clarify if its an actual 3 point or really the arms for a snap coupler, but to ask tire size, hours and etc thats been stated is laziness and stupidity.  The other thing that bugged me is that people seem to forget people have lives. Not everyone sits on social media all day.

about 15 years ago i was selling an 8N on e-bay for $1500...... no bid for 5 days... the add was to run 7 days.. Guy sends me an e-mail and says put a BUY IT NOW for $1200. and he will buy it in 10 minutes... I did and he bought it....  Two hours later i get HATE MAIL from a couple guys that are PISSED... They were going to wait till 30 minutes BEFORE THE 7 days was up and then bid.. Jump in at the last minute........... They are probably STILL PISSED !.

Fred, I'll tell ya a better one. Just recently I had a truck bed listed on FB marketplace. I got several replies asking the same questions that was answered in the add, and the ones who wanted to deal over the phone w/o even looking at it. Then, when I gave them what they were asking for.....they disappeared!

But, the best on was a guy messaged me, wanted to buy it, and I said fine, but come look at it first. He replied fxxx! I was hoping you would bring it to me, I am under house arrest!  Before I could reply to that, he messaged again, asking for address/directions, he was coming to get it! yikes!

I feel for ya Fred.  I got kicked off an Allis facebook  auction group for taking an ad down and not selling an item.  It had no bids and had been on there for a while, but when I decided not to sell it through the site I made someone angry.   Its amazing that these internet type let there feelings guide them instead of common sense.

Another reason I don't do Faceplant to the ground. Way to many idiots to deal with Wink, but if your making a living or supplementing, I guess you have little choice. Ermm

I been using market place for some household stuff.  I get a lot of people just hitting the "Is it still available" button.  Then they ask a line of questions one at a time.  I swear there are kids or some sad people out there that don't have anything better to do than screw around with people.

On another note, I put something on there yesterday.  I got the usual kids.  Then I get this one and they seem real interested so I play along.  I end up with the payment in my Paypal account and directions where to deliver it today.  She was a sweet little girl that didn't have much, but she sure wanted what I was selling.  I sure am glad I kept talking.

That was a pleasant surprise compared to previous experiences!
