What would it cost to fix a 185 transmission that will jump out of first,second and third gear? Thanks , Tracy

BIG BUCKS if you take it to a dealer, If you can find the parts and do the work yourself MAYBE??? $2,000

Or an independent mechanic that will almost half the labor bill over a dealer.

Cost me about $5k for a 180 transmission popping out of 3rd/4th. Granted, while he (independent mechanic) was in there, I went ahead and had him fix everything else he came up with that may not have really needed it at the time, but suffice it to say, it isn't cheap.
