| wife wanted a push mower. So I found her this sweetheart on marketplace for $100. I'm guessing it was manufactured by simplicity for Allis. Anyone know the model? |

First Simplicity made lawn mowers and garden tractors for Allis. Then A.C. bought out Simplicity, them Simplicity employees owned Simplicity, I think that B & S own Simplicity. I think that early mower was called Wonder Boy. I've had 2 of them. The first one had what was called a Joy Stick, you pulled it back to make it move, and moved it side to side to steer it. My 2nd one had a steering wheel like pictured, and a foot clutch. Both had a planetary gear system for a transmission. And the clutch was a belt tightener. They were a neat machine. Dusty

The basic model would be a Scamp. Yes this was he AC version of the Wonder Boy. ------------- 10 various B-series garden tractors, AC Homesteader8, 416 hydro,710 gt, 914, 916H, 917H, 920D, and many misc attachments |
