wife wanted a push mower. So I found her this sweetheart on marketplace for $100. I'm guessing it was manufactured by simplicity for Allis. Anyone know the model?

First Simplicity made lawn mowers and garden tractors for Allis. Then A.C. bought out Simplicity, them Simplicity employees owned Simplicity, I think that B & S own Simplicity.

I think that early mower was called Wonder Boy. I've had 2 of them. The first one had what was called a Joy Stick, you pulled it back to make it move, and moved it side to side to steer it.
My 2nd one had a steering wheel like pictured, and a foot clutch.
Both had a planetary gear system for a transmission. And the clutch was a belt  tightener.
They were a neat machine.
