I'm hoping to adjust this clutch on a HD5G. Can't see anything through the cover plate hole. Can barely get my phone in to get this picture. The clip is at the bottom of picture picture. I can only scrunch in by foot pedals for a very short time before I have ppanic attack of impending death. How does one remove it and not lose it? I have 35 ppounds of pull on clutch. Should I be happy with that and not bother to adjust? Thanks for your wisdom. |

| These ROCKFORD cluch have a bracket mounting adjustement with a spring lock and lock on the ring and you should have 25 to 30 pounds maximum |

How does it disengage? Do you pry from the inside up to the outside or pry down with a screw driver? Can it fall off? Does it stay in place except for a hinge swinging up? These clip things are not my forte. |

| The first tink you should desangaged the tansmission and crankthe engine with the starter until the cluch adjustement lock may be reached through the inspection hone and desangage the cluch adjusting lock from the slot in cluch back plate and use a hammer and punch or pry bar and drive or pry one of the adjusting ring lugs and turne the adjusting ring counterclock wise 1 or 2 notches and check if the 25 to 30 pounds is oké for good adjustement and make sure the lock will in notch plte before instaled the plate cover. |

Thanks for the information so far. I still can't figure out how to "disengage" the lock. I pulled on the center piece with the corner of a crowbar but nothing would budge, after squirting it overnight with Blaster penetrant. These simple things have a knack for perplexing me. I'd love to learn the "trick". I so appreciate it! |
