I'm asking for a guy at work but he says his 185 jumps out of gear under a load like pulling his disc. Says it doesn't do it just driving up or down hill but when pulling a 12ft disc in the field it will suddenly pop out of gear

I would remove that rail, grind detent to where it goes in gear a little further, then build up on other side. A short 3/16 stove bolt in end of detent spring before you drop spring in might help. next fix is expensive. Disassemble transmission and replace gear, coupler, and anything else that needs replaced. and its possible that there is a bad or loose brg on either shaft letting things move around and causing collar to work off gear

I think he told me 4th gear and it is the gear shifter not the power director jumping out

Second gear in the transmission (3rd low-4th high) is rare to jump out on a coast left alone a pull. Deeper engagement may help as long as the thrust washer on the mainshaft isn't missing. If that was the case, third gear(5th low-6th high) should bother too.
