Hello everyone, it's been a while. I'm wondering if anyone has made a homemade lift that would work under a B. I have a '38 with no electrics or hydraulics. I want to be able to mount a simple tool bar mid mount and rear for cultivating and hilling where I can see it. I found a rock shaft and mounted it. There is a rooster comb welded by my right leg with lever and cable that runs over a pulley bolted down to the right of radiator that was used for an ATV snow plow lift, I believe. I have to find jobs for this tractor other than pulling a drag. Have a large garden where I'm always fighting nasty weeds, so this would be a huge help. Been staring at this rockshaft for 2 days trying to figure out a way to use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, especially with pics. Thanks guys.

Bill

I think I would hang more weight out off the back end to get a more solid bite into the soil.
The crank jack in the center should be able handle a lot of weight.

Thanks but what I'm thinking is something under the belly of my '38 B I can see looking down. Something with a hand lift like my L59s on my C s have. Maybe push tubes from the rear axle and raise/lower from the torque tube or vice versa. I figured with the age of these tractors there would be all kinds of improvised implements for the garden, but maybe I was wrong. Would like to have a basic tool bar I can leave on the tractor and change blades between cultivating, hilling, and potato plow types.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but sounds to me like you need to find a set of cultivators for a B then modify to your liking. Been awhile since I looked at the cultivator frame I have but sounds like its does what you need

Yes, that's basically what I need. Hoped I could put something together with steel I already have, but it would be a lot of messing around. If I could find one reasonable not too far away, one that just bolts on would be the way to go. I've got some 2 inch square tube and old spring shanks I thought maybe would work; just have to figure out how to mount them.
