How many different bottoms were offered on a SC 52 plow. I am going to swap some I have from parts plow. They are slatted and not the same. Just wondering. Thanks Tracy ------------- No greater gift than healthy grandkids! |

Mike, I will try to figure this out.I have at least two of these plows. Different bottoms on both. I have some plows that have great bottoms that might be swapped to the 52 plow frames. Thanks Tracy ------------- No greater gift than healthy grandkids! |

Went to the farm, saw three of the 50 series plows. 2 of the 52, 1 of the 53, all have slatted bottoms and all three are different. I looked at the link and can't find them on there. One 52 is pin hitch and has a short really fast turn to the plow. The other 52 is SC and similar to the 53. Both of these have similar slats and a slower turn to the plow. I want to use this plow on a D10- D12 tractor. Plow is pretty good shape except adjust arms are frozen . I would be interested in a good right and left side adjustment arm. Any help appreciated. Tracy, perhaps you could call Dave The Plowman. I've gotten parts from him, and he might be able to help with your question about bottoms.   Tracy, I have both left and right arms from a 50 series plow that I would sell for $25.00 each plus shipping. They are both freed up but not painted. I will try and post pics. The thing is, if you wanted them I wouldn't ship until after this virus thing is over. I don't go out anymore than I have to.

Tracy, here's my 50 series plow story, for what it's worth. I have a 52 and two 53s. All have, I believe, No. 24 bottoms on them. The first 53 I bought several years ago to plow gardens with, works pretty good for that. The second 53, (the one I forgot I even had) is missing the lift links, have a pair but haven't got them installed yet. It has log chain for links. Only reason I bought this thing is the beaming screw is free and the wear parts are in really good shape and the price wasn't too bad. The 52 I bought last year, again because the wear parts were so good and the adjustment are free. Thinking this will be good for the CA someday. I'm not sure this is feasible, we'll see. Long story short, there are lots of 50 series plows in my part of Iowa. A lot of them are basically junk. When a good one comes along I can't seem to help myself.
