A true L59 has left hand cut blades and left handed threads for the retaining bolts.
The 59 Woods has right hand cut blades and right handed threads. I had a 59, that I had trouble running right handed on the CA, so I bought left handed blades and used an impact to tighten the right handed bolts.

I think mine are right handed. don't know if its an L or not , I do know its a 59 for sure. I tighten and remove them with an air wrench and they never come loose. ---Don't overdue the wrench on getting them tight as the threads will strip rather easily .

If it's a tan color it's a L 59 and has left hand thread bolts holding the blades on. If it's yellow it a 59 and has right hand thread bolts holding the blades on.

I don't believe the color has anything to do with the model of the mower. I had a tan colored one that was a 59, right handed mower.
The color may date the piece, as Woods used to paint them yellow, then switched to the light off White.
