Hiya all
My pump relief valve starred knocking last year..and so I thought the hold lever perhaps was not all the way down etc.. (in fact that did correct the problem initially) But since then the pulp continued to do the same thing...now the pump is basically always on..
I've looked over the linkage and had the pump out a time or two..
I've even had the pump apart..and back together. .same thing..always on..
I'm wondering what knowledgeable hands might know about this..
Thank you

Traction Booster linkage under the belly missing or not adjusted properly.

Are the lift arms always up? If they are, I would guess traction booster linkage needs adjusted.           MACK

The Owners manual explains how to adjust that linkage to the proper setting.

Yes..the lift arms are always jammed up..
I actually took the pump out last summer..beings that I didn't think it was a great thing having the relief valve screaming all the time

If linkage is ok, I would say a spool valve is sticking.      MACK

When I had the pump apart..the spool valves had to be tapped out
Notsure the best way to free em up

Put spools in drill press or lathe and polish with emery clothe.     MACK

Yup. Go ahead and take that pump out one more time  !!!    You haven't acknowledged properly adjusting the Traction Booster linkage underneath the tractor, which takes all of 5 minutes.
